Tun My Eyes Upon You, Jesus.

As my thoughts spin in circles,
my soul finds its rest in You.
As a deer pants for water,
so my soul thirsts—
every ounce, every drop—
I long for You.
You crafted each hair on my head,
every lily in the field,
every cloud drifting by—
all formed by Your hand.
As the world fades to gray,
the vibrant arc of Your rainbow
holds its promise true.
Lord, where can I turn?
You whisper,
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus.
Look full in His wonderful face,
and the things of earth
will grow strangely dim
in the light of His glory and grace.”
So I sit. I stay.
The chaos stills, Your peace surrounds,
Your Word stands firm.
Turn my eyes upon You, Jesus.
In suffering, joy waits—
a quiet anticipation
for the life abundant to come.
But the work is not finished.
Strengthen me, Jesus.
Let Your will be done.
For Your glory alone.
