Hello!!

I am so excited to share some news with y’all!

Haiti has always had a place in my heart. From going on short term mission trips 3 high school summers in a row, I have grown to love the people, the place, Mission of Hope Haiti, and the work the Lord continually does in and throughout Haiti. From the first time I stepped off the plane and spent time with the people from Mission of Hope, I knew one day I wanted to work with this organization. Mission of Hope ultimately exists to bring life transformation to every man, women, and child in Haiti truly giving them hope and building up leaders within the communities. Three years in a row, I was able to see their work come to life in the Haitian translators, village champions, and the staff of Mission of Hope. Their passion and love for their people and country is beyond anything I can put into words.

As a student at Florida State University the past two years, my heart has been tugged back and forth to go back to this amazing country. I would tell myself over and over “one day I will go back.. one day”. Well, “one day” turned into, “Ok God, we’re doing this”, in the matter of a couple of months.

I applied for a position with MOH, I was accepted, I was going, but God had other plans. Haiti has gone through many trials this year within their government and has been a place where it truly needs prayer. In saying so, I have been relocated to the Dominican Republic!

So, this summer I have been given the opportunity to work as a mobilization intern with Mission of Hope Haiti, Dominican Republic from May 31st- August 3rd. For two and a half months, as an intern, I will be hosting and leading teams from North America on their week-long mission trips to the Dominican Republic into the villages as we complete construction projects, host a Kid’s Club (VBS), distribute items like water filter and goats, and sharing the gospel!

I could not be more excited to be in a new place, meet new people, and see the Lords work in a new setting! As a part of this news, as soon as I step off the plane in the DR,I will be using this website (my blog) to give updates on my internship! I’m so excited to share and tell you all how the Lord works, the weather, the people, the stories, etc !!!

As a final update, I wanted to truly thank all my supports and announce I AM OFFICIALLY FULLY FUNDED!!!!! I am so speechless and humbled to have so much support and prayer poured into this mission!

THANK YOU!!

Stay rad y’all,

-Cay

Psalm 96: 1-3

"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples"
